Premium yet cool
Our Sound Branding project for G4 was essential to align the company’s branding direction and its future market perception. Although G4 positioned itself as premium, its communication was noisy and had an overly sporty tone, which distanced it from the desired sophistication. Based on a strategic study, we applied guidelines to the musical theme and created a sound logo that balances elegance with sporty dynamism. We developed a musical theme and sound logos that reinforced this repositioning, delivering a premium touch without losing the sporty energy that is part of G4’s essence.

We started by investigating G4 and its context, the market surrounding it. We defined the attributes of its sound personality, its persona, and designed the musical guidelines that serve as the blueprint for creating the musical theme and sound logo, which will now inspire any sound creation for the brand going forward.
Musical Theme and Sound Logos
The G4 musical theme is based on the brand’s personality attributes, which are: elegant, cool, premium, innovative, and personal. Starting from these, we crossed the personality attributes with musical attributes such as rhythm, harmony, instrumentation, and melody.
The rhythm in the music relates to the cool and elegant attributes. It has a dynamic rhythmic division and a strong groove, but without being noisy. The harmony is premium, as the chords bring sophistication. Premium content demands an equally refined environment, with an intelligent chord progression that opens up possibilities and non-obvious paths.
The instrumentation is grounded in innovation. That’s why we created a creative and surprising combination of instruments, ensuring an elegant result. The melody is very personal, familiar, and easy to sing. We created a steel-string guitar riff that permeates the entire piece, generating an interesting sense of recognition. The melody is led by a modern guitar mixed with a warm voice, all within a very elegant setting. Additionally, there are brass instruments that enter punctually, and contributions from musicians like Rodrigo Shá. The rhythmic base features a well-measured drum and bass, while the strings expand the feeling to a global level.
We also had the participation of Kassin, the music producer for Caetano Veloso, Gal Costa, and other great Brazilian music artists.
The Sound Logo is extracted from the most distinctive musical cell of the theme. The steel-string guitar that introduces the music to the listener synthesizes G4’s musical identity.
SOUND UX
The sound experience is being applied to videos on social media and key pieces of communication with its audiences, increasingly gaining strategic spaces throughout the brand’s journey with its fans, making every interaction with G4 more immersive and aligned with its identity. Three video tracks and three 30-second tracks, all derived from the musical theme, were created. Additionally, we developed an event kit and specific packages for activations. After creating the musical theme and sound logo, we applied these elements to videos, which now serve as a model for the brand’s communication. From this point, G4 began incorporating this concept across all its communication. This process also helped the brand better understand its identity. G4 is not just a premium brand it is premium and cool. This expands its freedom of communication, correcting the previous disconnect between its message and its expression.
